Instructions

Step 1

Put a half-size nori on top of a bamboo mat (makisu).

Step 2

Spread a half cup of sushi rice on top.

Step 3

Place cucumber sticks lengthwise on the rice.

Step 4

Roll up the bamboo mat, pressing forward to shape the sushi into a cylinder. Press the bamboo mat firmly with hands.Unwrap the bamboo mat.

Step 5

Cut the sushi roll into bite-size pieces.
